| GENERAL TERMS
DEFINITIONS: I understand that the term Isabella Freedman and Adamah as used in this document means and includes all current and former officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliated or related entities of Isabella Freedman and Admah; the term “I” means and includes any participant 18 years or older, or the parent or legal guardian of any participant who is younger than 18 years of age; and the term “program” means the Isabella Freedman program in which a participant has enrolled or joined.
PAYMENT OF BALANCE: Balances are due 30 days before the start of the program. I agree to pay my remaining registration balance by that time, including having my card on file be charged. I agree that any balances that I incur after the 30-day period, or during or after the event will be paid in full, and that my card on file may be charged for these balances.
EMERGENCY: I agree to follow all instructions and protocols set forth by Adamah staff or its partners, and I will be solely responsible for any personal injury to myself or others or property damage resulting from my failure to follow any such instructions.
ACCIDENT: In case of accident or illness that results in my inability to consent to treatment, I hereby authorize a representative of Adamah or its partners to use his/her judgment in obtaining immediate medical care for me until such time as my emergency contact or other appropriate party can be reached. Adamah and its partners will not be responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such emergency medical treatment.
CODE OF CONDUCT: All participants at Isabella Freedman are responsible for their conduct and must be willing to abide by the guidelines established for the program in order to participate. The general guidelines for conduct are: 1) Participants must take responsibility for their safety by carefully listening to rules and following instructions. Unsafe behavior, failure to follow instructions, or extremely disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the program. 2) Use and/or possession of weapons, firecrackers, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, matches, lighters, or other items deemed dangerous is strictly forbidden. 3) Participants may not damage Isabella Freedman property or the personal property of others. 4) All participants must wear closed toed shoes while on the farm, protect themselves from the sun, drink an appropriate amount of water, walk and not run, only use tools that have been instructed to use and will do so in a safe manner, only enter the kitchen or animal pens if instructed by Isabella Freedman staff. 5)Comply with all local and applicable laws and regulations during the Program.
LIABLITY
ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: I understand that by participating in this Program, the participant may be exposed to a variety of risks and hazards, foreseen or unforeseen, which cannot be eliminated without fundamentally altering the unique character of the program. These inherent risks include, but are not limited to, risks and hazards including animals such as insects and spiders, and tools, such as shovels and rakes; activities vary from program to program, and may include shoveling, using a wheelbarrow, hammers, and sharp metals. Possible injuries and illnesses include, but are not limited to, sunburn, heatstroke, dehydration, musculoskeletal injuries, and other mild or serious conditions or injuries. I understand that this description of the risks involved is not complete, and that other unknown or unanticipated risks may result in property loss or injury.
Covid-19 specifically and other contagions and viruses more generally, have created additional risk at all events and gatherings, and public officials and/or venues have created policies, guidelines, and practices to limit possible exposure. I fully understand and appreciate the risks involved and voluntarily assume the risk. I agree to comply with all policies, rules, and guidelines established by public health officials, state and local governments, and by the event venue, and will act at all times while on Isabella Freedman property in a manner that mitigates these risks.
As a condition of participation in the program, I agree to assume full responsibility for all the risks that such participation may entail. Participation in this program is entirely voluntary, and I elect to participate with full knowledge of the inherent risks.
RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION: In consideration of participation in the program and the services and amenities provided by Adamah I voluntarily agree to (1) release, discharge, and hold harmless Adamah, to the fullest extent permitted by law, from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, or liabilities, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury or death, even if caused by the negligence of Adamah (but not its willful or wanton misconduct), arising out of or in any way connected to the program or my participation in the program; and (2) indemnify and defend Adamah, to the fullest extent permitted by law, from and with respect to any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages or costs, even if caused by the negligence of Adamah (but not its willful or wanton misconduct), arising out of or in any way connected with the program, or participation in the program, or occurring during the inclusive dates of attendance at the program, and/or from any medical treatment received during the program.
CANCELLATION
CANCELLATION POLICY: For most programs at Isabella Freedman, the cancellation policy is: 31 days or more – fully refundable less a $75 fee per person (for Pesach – 61 days prior); 15-30 days prior – 50% refundable (for Pesach – 31-60 days prior); 14 days or fewer – not refundable (for Pesach – 30 days or fewer).
If you are sick with a communicable disease such as Covid-19 and are unable to attend, you may receive a credit (less $75 per person) valid through the end of the of the following calendar year towards a future retreat at either Isabella Freedman or Pearlstone. You must provide medical documentation attesting to your illness in order to receive this credit.
Pearlstone reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. This includes cancellations due to inclement weather if, in our judgment, we are unable to operate safely. In the event of such a cancellation, a full refund will be issued. If the program proceeds as scheduled, no refund will be offered.
We recommend purchase travel insurance in the event that you need to cancel or change your travel plans.
SHUTTLE AND TRANSPORTATION FEES: A full transportation refund is available if you cancel a transportation reservation at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to the official start date of a program. No refund is available if you cancel within 72 hours of the program
PUBLICITY
PHOTO RELEASE: Isabella Freedman and persons designated by it may use my or my child’s photograph, or any video, writing, artwork and/or testimonials created by my child and submitted to Isabella Freedman. It shall become the property of Isabella Freedman, and may be used by Isabella Freedman, at its discretion, for its own marketing and/or development purposes, and I hereby consent to and authorize such use without restriction. By agreeing, I consent to the following publicity release for myself and all minors for whom I am registering at this time. If I do not wish not to consent to this policy, I understand that I must email data@adamah.org, with "PHOTO WITHHOLD" as the subject line, and make sure that I receive a confirmation notice stating that we have received your request.By signing this document, I give permission both a) to Adamah and its programs (including Pearlstone, Isabella Freedman, Adamah Detroit, Jewish Youth Climate Movement, and others) and b) to The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, and its constituent agencies and programs, of which Isabella Freedman is included, to use any photograph, likeness, audio recording, video recording and/or depiction of me, and/or my name, to promote Adamah and The Associated and its agencies and programs, in all media now known or hereafter developed, including print, electronic and/or digital media, such as brochures, advertisements, annual reports, social media and Internet websites.
AGREEMENT: I have had the opportunity to ask Isabella Freedman any questions I may have about the Program in which myself and/or my child is a participant, and any questions have been answered to my satisfaction. I understand that this document is intended by Isabella Freedman to have as broad an effect as the law permits, and that if any part of this document is found to be invalid for any reason, the remainder of the document shall remain valid and fully enforceable. I have carefully read and I understand this entire document, and I am signing it voluntarily. A parent or legal guardian must sign to reflect the parent’s understanding and agreement, for themselves and on behalf of the child, to the provisions of the definitions, acknowledgment and assumptions of risks, consent to medical treatment, release and indemnification, other provisions, and agreement
CERTIFICATION: I certify that I am 18 years of age or older and that I have carefully read the above policies. I hereby acknowledge, understand and agree to the above policies as they relate to myself and members of my family, including minors, whom I am registering. |

| Registrants may cancel and receive a full refund until 30 days before the start of the retreat.
After that date, guests who cancel or do not attend will not be given a refund.
The deposit will be refunded to the original payment method to those who attend, 2-3 business days after the conclusion of the retreat. |

| PUBLICITY RELEASE
By checking the box below, you consent to the following publicity release for yourself and all minors for whom you are registering at this time. If you wish not to consent to this policy, please email us at ifregistrar@adamah.org, with "PHOTO WITHHOLD" as the subject line, and make sure that you receive a confirmation notice stating that we have received your request.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this program, I (the "Participant"), for myself, and, in the case of all minors listed whom I am registering at this time (the "Minors"), on behalf of the Minors, in my capacity as the Minors' parent/guardian, hereby execute this Media Release (the "Media Release") and irrevocably grant to Adamah and its directors, officers, members, employees, agents, successors and assigns, all of which are hereinafter referred to as "Releasees," the right to photograph, record and interview me and the Minors and to edit, use, reproduce, print, publish, display, broadcast and otherwise disseminate (including to third-party news outlets) our appearances, pictures, names, likenesses, voices, quotations and biographical material (together, the "Information"), in whole or in part, in connection with promotional materials of Adamah. and its activities (including, but not limited to, websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, media quotes, annual reports, presentations, lectures and promotional videos) (the "Promotional Materials").
I understand that the Promotional Materials may take any form (or multiple forms) and that the Information may appear in the Promotional Materials in any or all manners and media known or unknown (including, but not limited to, print, film, video, digital, audio, television, radio, cable, satellite and internet).In addition, on behalf of the Minors and myself, I expressly release Adamah from and against any and all claims under state or federal law that the minors of I have or may have for invasion of privacy, defamation, right of publicity or any other cause of action known or unknown arising out of the use of my Information in any Promotional Materials.
By agreeing to this document, on behalf of the minors and myself, I hereby waive any rights to seek or receive from Adamah, Inc. any compensation, whether monetary or otherwise, for the use of my Information in any Promotional Materials now or in the future. If any provision of this Media Release is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, such provision will be enforced to the fullest extent that it is valid and enforceable under applicable law, and the other provisions of this Media Release shall remain in full force and effect.
I CERTIFY THAT I AM AGE 18 OR OLDER AND THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FREELY SIGNED THIS MEDIA RELEASE. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MEDIA RELEASE REPRESENTS THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTANDING AMONG ME, THE MINORS, AND ADAMAH INC. WITH RESPECT TO THE USE OF MY INFORMATION IN ANY PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS. |

I hereby certify that I am physically fit and capable of participating in this Program and that I do not suffer from any condition, sickness or disease that would impair my ability to participate in the Program or that presents any danger to my wellbeing as the result of such participation.
I ACKNOWLEDGE that my choice to participate in the Program is knowing, voluntary, and made for my personal enjoyment. I assume all the foregoing risks and fully accept personal responsibility for all expenses, medical or otherwise, following any such damages, injury, permanent disability or death.
I release and discharge Adamah and its directors, officers, members, employees, agents, successors and assigns, all of which are hereinafter referred to as "Releasees," from and waive any and all liability to the Participant, his or her heirs and next of kin or any other person, for any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages, including death or damage to property, which, in whole or in part, arise from, relate to or are alleged to arise from or relate to the Program, any and all related events and activities in which the Participant is participating, including with respect to the facilities and transportation provided to the participant during the Program, or are caused or alleged to be caused in whole or part by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, and I covenant not to initiate any claim, lawsuit, court action or other legal proceeding or demand against the Releasees with respect thereto and I waive any right to do so; and I further agree that if, despite this Release Agreement, I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I WILL INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS each of the Releasees from any litigation expenses, attorneys' fees, loss, liability, damage or cost which any may incur as a result of such claim, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I recognize that I have an important personal obligation to conduct myself in a manner compatible with local laws and regulations, and will abide by all such laws, regulations, standards and policies and promise to act responsibly and with respect for persons and property with policies for conduct set forth in this Release Agreement. I understand that, if at any time during the duration of the Program I fail to honor this Release Agreement, Adamah may, in their sole discretion, immediately withdraw me from the Program or place any restrictions it may deem appropriate on my participation in the Program
I certify that I am age 18 or older. I have carefully read and freely signed this Release Agreement. I understand and agree that this Release Agreement may not be modified in any way and no oral or written representations can or will alter the contents of this document. I agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, which shall be the forum for any lawsuits filed under or incident to this agreement or the Program.
I HAVE READ THE ABOVE RELEASE AGREEMENT AND HAVE SIGNED IT VOLUNTARILY AND WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE AND INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW AND AGREE THAT, IF ANY PORTION OF THIS RELEASE AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID, THE BALANCE, NOTWITHSTANDING, SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. |
