2026 Grateful Dead Phish Shabbaton
December 11 - 13, 2026
The Great Grateful Dead & Phish Shabbaton is upon us!
Get on the bus!
Join us for a weekend of Jewish joy, music, and awesome community energy as we gather in nature for a Shabbat of deep rest, cosmic play, mind bending music, and soul-shine connection.
Check in will start at 2m on Friday, December 11th. Room checkout will be at 10am on Sunday, December 13th, but the festivities will go on until 3pm.
Highlights include:
-
Shabbat Magic: We’ll welcome the Sabbath queen with soulful song, prayer, niggunim and your favorite melodies. We will be the ripples and the still water.
-
Workshops & Playshops: Explore Torah through the jam-band lens. Explore GD and Phish through a Torah lens! Songwriting circles, cosmic spiritual journeying, text study with a groove.
-
Nature connection: Isabella Freedman, in the Connecticut winter, is a special kind of magic.
-
Sacred Stillness: A shomer Shabbat / instrument-free in public spaces. Just voices, hearts, and harmony.
-
Epic Havdalah & Jam: As Shabbat goes out, we’ll light the fire, spin the glow, and dance into the night with jamming, drumming, and movement that’ll remind you that you really do enjoy yourself.
-
Community & Connection: Slow down with amazing people, share meals, sing, learn, and wander under the epic winter stars. Also, the food at Isabella Freedman is awesome!
- Delicious Kosher meals
So come find the Torah in the jam.
This inaugural Shabbaton is where tradition meets improvisation, and where Shabbos itself becomes the headliner.
**This retreat is sponsored and run by Pesach Stadlin and is not affiliated with Adamah or Isabella Freedman.
